City Of Clarence-Rockland Water Not Affected By “Fish Die Off”

As reported, fish die-off has been observed along the Ottawa River over the past few days. The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has collected fish and water samples for analysis and will inform the City of the results once they are available.

The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), which manages the City’s drinking water treatment plant, is constantly monitoring the water quality as part of its daily operations and has not detected any difference in the quality of water except for a change in temperature. The City of Clarence-Rockland and OCWA would like to reassure the population that, as of this morning, the quality of the municipal drinking water is not affected.
