City Opens Shelter At Clarence Creek Arena

With over 10,000 residents, and many businesses without power for most of Monday, schools were forced to close, along with many businesses.  Power was slowly restored to parts of the region, however many  did not see power restored to late last evening.  Even know, several thousand residents within our listening area to do have power.  According to Hydro One, some customers will not have power fully restored until late this afternoon.

The City of Clarence-Rockland opened a temporary emergency shelter Monday evening at the Clarence Creek Arena, on Lemay Street with City employees, and the Red Cross on hand to welcome residents.

For more information on the emergency shelter, residents can call:  613-488-2960
