The Cumberland Flood Relief Family Fun Fair and BBQ Fundraiser this past Sunday was a huge success! Supporters lined Dunning Road to assist our neighbours to the west of Clarence-Rockland affected by the spring flooding.
Altogether, with 1000 supporters in attendance, just over $10,000 was raised for Cumberland’s flood victims. That includes the generous donations from Lion’s Clubs all over the region and a $1000 donation from a local church in Orleans!
The fundraiser, organized by a small committee of four, including Christina Hajjar, would not have been so successful with the generosity of many businesses who donated their services, including the City Of Ottawa, and Stephen Blais’ office, covering the cost of the hall rental.
