It’s Election Day, Ontario, 2018.

Remember, you can vote in person today from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. at your assigned voting location.  To be eligible, you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.  You can only vote at the location assigned to you.  If you received a Voter Information Card, you’re on the Voters List. Bring and with your name to vote.  If you need to update the information on your Voter Information Card, you can do that when you go to vote.

Just can’t bring yourself to vote for any candidate?  Tell the election official that you are declining your right to vote when they hand you a ballot. He or she will mark “declined” on the election documentation and your ballot will be placed in an envelope for declined ballots.  And no selfies, voting. Taking a picture of a completed ballot—yours or anyone else’s—is a violation of the Election Act as it violates the secrecy of the vote and of the Act to publish a photo on your social media channels or elsewhere of a completed ballot.
