Why Getting Up On The Right Side Of The Bed Isn’t So Right

A new study by  Spatone, reveals that getting up on the right side of the bed will make you grumpy in the morning. A company spokesperson says; ”When you are obviously tired and grumpy, one of the first things people will ask you is whether you got out of bed on the wrong side. And while we would usually just laugh back, it seems it really can be the case, with the right-hand side the worst to get out of if you want to feel happy and ready for the day ahead. There is nothing more frustrating than waking up in the morning still feeling tired and this can go on to have a real effect on your mood for the first few hours and even the rest of the day.”

 

– 57% of people believe it’s possible to wake up on the wrong side of the bed

 

– 10% of people have tried waking up on a different side of the bed to see if their mood would change

 

– 77% of people, who get out of bed on the right side, say they are tired and grumpy in the morning

 

– 75% of people, who get out of bed on the left side, say they are tired and grumpy in the morning

 

– 56% of people would not classify themselves as a ‘morning person’

 

– 70% of people say their morning mood has led to an argument with someone
