Harry Potter Removed From School Library: The Reason: Curses

The St Edward Church School, in Nashville, Tennessee, has removed Harry Potter books from their school library because of fears the spells could conjure up evil spirits when read aloud.

The paper says the school sent a letter to parents that reads,  “These books present magic as both good and evil, which it not true, but is in fact a clever deception. The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text.”
