La Guignolée Is Set For This Sunday – Volunteers Are Needed

The Rockland Help Centre will be holding its annual Food Drive on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 in order to stock the shelves of it’s Food Bank for the coming winter season.

Over 250 volunteers will be going door to door ringing bells and singing carols from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the City of Clarence Rockland and surrounding area in what is known as the traditional “Guignolée.”

All non-perishable food items are welcome as well as donations in the form of cash or cheque.

Celebrating it’s 27th year of service to the community, the Rockland Help Centre provides help to over 200 families on a monthly basis who are residents of Clarence-Rockland.

The centre needs volunteers to assist in their door to door food drive. They need walkers and drivers with suv’s or pickup truck to canvass two or three streets between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Lunch and refreshments are served at the L’Escale School cafeteria.

If you can volunteer Contact : Daphne & Steve Love at 613-240-5455 or Nicole Gaul at 613-446-7594.
