And The Local Clean Up Begins For Flood Victims

As floodwaters recede, affected residents are now facing the massive cleanup. Some admit their homes just can’t be saved. Many people looking at tens of thousands of dollars in damage from more than a week of flooding are hoping provincial governments will help cover costs.

Tomlinson will start the sandbag removal operation today. Residents are asked to not touch the bags as they are contaminated. Electricity is being restored to certain flood affected area like Vosine Road and Old Highway 17, pending they pass the Electrical Safety Authority  inspection.

In order to be considered for eligibility to access recovery support from the Red Cross, people impacted by the floods need to register by filling out the registration form at the Red Cross area at the Clarence Creek Arena and at the Treatment and Information Centre in the TSC parking lot.
