The new American Idol reboot will not be airing bad auditions this time around. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Idol’s producer says it “doesn’t feel comfortable to put borderline unstable people up on stage and laugh at them.” The producer added there is still room for the “stray eccentric,” but the show wants “humor, but we don’t want the exploitation.”
For many, watching the terrible singers, who many believed had talent, was the highlight of Idol. The new American Idol returns to television in March.
