People Know When They Are Dying And Prefer To Be Alone

People often prefer to be left alone when they are dying, an academic claims.

According to Glenys Caswell, a senior research fellow from the University of Nottingham, people have a degree of control over when they pass away, with some waiting to do so until their loved ones are not around.

Although this may seem morbid many dislike being fussed over when they are unwell, with the moment of passing being no exception.

Previous research by New York University Langone School of Medicine released in October last year suggested people are aware when they are dying as their consciousness continues to operate even after their body has stopped showing signs of life.
