Quebec Woman Makes Jewelry Out Of — Say That Again

Karine Lajoie, a jeweler from Quebec makes beautiful jewelry using milk.  Not 1%, or skim, but rather breast milk. She discovered breast milk jewelry about a year ago from designers in Australia & the U.S and now she can make earrings, necklaces and rings out of breast milk.

She explains the process by saying that the breast milk goes through a process of freezing and “preservation and then it’s worked with resin.” This whole process takes about a week because it also has to dry before you can actually mold it into a ring, necklace or set of earrings.
