Are Shopping Malls Getting Emptier?

Mall vacancies hit a six-year high in the first quarter of the year, reports The Wall Street Journal. Malls have been experimenting with other anchors to increase foot traffic — particularly gyms, which have seen mall leases nearly double in the past five years, reports CNBC.
