Teen Solves 27 Year Cold Case Using His GoPro

A 13 year-old from BC recently solved a 27 year-old cold case with his GoPro camera.

Max Werenka spotted what looked like an overturned car in Griffin Lake in British Columbia. His mother called the police before Max and his family took them out on their boat. Max dove into the water and swam down 15 feet before using his GoPro camera to videotape the car. Cops traced the license plate to 69 year-old Janet Ferris.

She disappeared 27 years ago while driving to Alberta. The police removed Janet’s Honda from the lake, but don’t believe any foul play was involved in her death.
