The PR Transpo Network Officially Launched – Free Until Mid November

PR Transpo features two accessible buses, each with a maximum capacity of 19 seats. The buses follow a regular schedule and offer 12 different routes across the three sectors serving the UCPR. These 12 routes each have a round trip in the morning and another in the afternoon, with some exceptions.

“The people of Prescott and Russell have repeatedly mentioned the challenges of our residents’ mobility across our territory. The PR Transpo project will respond to these needs, helping to remove some of the barriers of social isolation, but will also benefit the development of our region, in terms of its economy and its growth,” stated Robert Kirby, Warden of the UCPR Council.

PR Transpo offers a service from Monday to Saturday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with exact details depending on the established routes. Timetables and stops are available online by visiting www.PRTranspo.ca. The carrier Leduc Bus Lines, which was awarded the contract via public tender in August 2018, will offer the service across the region.

Users will be able to track the location of buses in real time, using the MYGeoTab app, available on Android and Apple. They can also contact the service by telephone or text message at 613-307-7813, toll-free at 1-844-957-0533, or by e-mail at prtranspo@prescott-russell.on.ca.

The transportation service is being offered at no charge from its launch date until mid-November. This promotion will allow users to try PR Transpo, as well as purchase tickets for the coming months at one of the points of sale. The price of a ticket is $5 for an adult (18 to 64 years old), or $4 for a student (5 to 17 years old) or a senior (65 and over).

You want to shop, you have an appointment, or you just want to go out? PR Transpo was created for you – try it today!
