Twenty New Red Light Cameras In Ottawa

Twenty new red light cameras will be sprouting up in Ottawa. Officials say studies show the installation of red light cameras help reduce the number of right-angle collisions at intersections. City staff looked to see where the cameras might bring the most benefit and settled on 20 intersections that had a high number of collisions due to someone running a red light. Installation of the cameras will begin this spring, and will be completed by year’s end.
