Two Heads Are Better Than One?

A two-headed rattlesnake was recently discovered in Burlington County, New Jersey. The snake was nicknamed “Double Dave” because the two men, who discovered it, are both named Dave. It is the first two-headed rattlesnake discovered since 2009 when a similar one was spotted in Alabama.

Snake expert Bob Zappalorti says Double Dave may be the result of a mutation. “It probably was meant to be a twin and it mutated, and the female gave birth to this abnormal baby.”
