Women Are Being Asked To Do What On The Ikea Ad? Say That Again

Many businesses come up with unique ways to offer their customers, and hopefully new customers discounts, but this one is causing a lot of people to do a double take, saying, “Women are suppose to what?” Ikea’s new magazine ad encourages women to pee on it with a clever twist.  If you’re pregnant, peeing on the ad reveals a special discounted price on cribs, thanks to technology similar to that in pregnancy-test kits. Presumably, you’ll then need to bring the urine-soaked paper to your local Ikea to redeem it.  It also means cashiers in Sweden will need to be ready to collect some pee-covered coupons and expecting moms will need to carry them around in their purse, which sounds like an awful time for everyone involved.

The ad is running in Amelia magazine, one of Sweden’s most influential magazines for women.
