The Birthday Patrol

The police and fire departments of Hopkins, Minnesota have started a new division called the Birthday Patrol. Police cars and fire trucks are rolling by children’s homes with their sirens and flashing lights on. The police and firefighters started the patrol because quaranting kids are canceling birthday parties due to the coronavirus.

The police tweeted, ”HPD & HFD out on “Birthday Patrol”!  The stay at home order has been challenging – especially for youth who had to cancel bday parties.  Parents notify Hopkins Police via FB messenger to have squad cars and fire trucks roll by your home, flash lights & wish kiddos a happy bday”
