Thousands of couples around the world have had to cancel their wedding because of Covid-19. However, there is one wedding that is going ahead this weekend, including guests.
Dan Stuglik and Amy Simonsen, of Michigan, are set to marry on Saturday. They invited 160 guests, many of which won’t be able to attend due to the coronavirus.
Dan went to a packaging company in Coloma, Michigan to get large sheets of cardboard. He brought in a designer to create cardboard cutouts of their family and friends. The cutouts are being placed in the pews at Dan and Amy’s church.
Dan told reporters “I wanted to do something (creative) so she wouldn’t walk down the aisle to an empty church,” he said. “That was a painful part, that her wedding was being stripped away from her, but Menasha (the packaging company) helped bring a little back.”
